The trial date for former Chiefs assistant coach Britt Reid, who is charged with drunk driving in the crash that left a 5-year-old with brain damage.
Reid, son of Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, will appear before judges on April 18, 2022, according to Fox 4.
Earlier this year, Reid collided with two vehicles near Arrowhead Stadium after one of them became disabled. Reid’s blood alcohol content was .113 and he was driving 82 mph in a 65-mph zone leading up to the crash.
One of the vehicles was assisting the other that had run out of fuel. Reid admitted at the time that he had two or three drinks the night of the crash and had a prescription for Adderall.
The Chiefs placed Reid on administrative leave immediately after they found out about the crash.
