Tennessee Titans’ sophomore wide receiver Treylon Burks suffered an injury during Wednesday’s practice that required him to be taken away on a cart.
According to ESPN’s Turron Davenport, Burks fell to the ground after hauling in a pass from Ryan Tannehill for a touchdown. Trainers were holding Burks’ knee for support, and a cart was brought in to take him off the field.

Non-contact knee injuries are always greatly concerning, but we’ll just have to await an update from Mike Vrabel and company. Hopefully, Burks avoided a serious injury and was just taken away on a cart for precaution.
After trading away star wideout A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles at last year’s draft, the Titans used the No. 18 selection on Burks. The Arkansas wideout was limited to 11 games as a rookie and finished the year with 33 receptions for 444 yards and one touchdown.
Looking to bolster their receiving corps, the Titans signed five-time Pro Bowler DeAndre Hopkins to a two-year pact in free agency. The Titans are hoping that Hopkins and a healthy Burks can form a dynamic 1-2 receiving duo for quarterback Ryan Tannehill in 2023.
The Titans, coming off their first losing season since 2015, will open their 2023 season with a road contest against the New Orleans Saints on Sept 10.
We’ll be sure to provide more details when they become available.
