The New York Jets needed to make a move at quarterback after yet another disastrous game and they did so on Tuesday.
According to Adam Schefter, the Jets plan on adding veteran QB Trevor Siemian to the team. Schefter added the Jets are signing Siemian to the practice squad pending a physical.
This would be Siemian’s second sting with the Jets if he ends up signing. The 31-year-old Trevor Siemian was with the Jets in 2019.
As of now, he would be the third quarterback on the roster behind Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle.
The Bears signed Siemian as a backup quarterback in 2022 but ended up releasing him earlier this offseason. He caught on with the Bengals but got cut coming out of the preseason after losing the backup competition.
Last season, he appeared in two games and completed 57.7 percent of his passes for 184 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

The Jets are coming off a 15-10 loss to the New England Patriots that dropped them to 1-2 and in last place in the AFC East. Just like last year, it appears quarterback play will be the downfall of the team. Zach Wilson has completed 44-of-84 passes for 467 yards, two touchdowns, and four interceptions so far this year.
