Trevon Diggs won the game along with his team, but he had a message for one person after it was all said and done.
Moments after the Dallas Cowboys had routed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 31-14, in Monday night’s wild-card game, Trevon Diggs called out Stephen A. Smith. In a social media clip relayed by SportsCenter, Diggs took to social media and delivered a message to the ESPN personality.
“We just won. What was the score? 31-14. Stephen A., watch your mouth.”
Stephen A. Smith has built quite the reputation for hating all things Dallas related, despite him being good friends with Jerry Jones. For years, he has stuck to his theory that the Cowboys will always crumble and fall short whenever there’s hope for the franchise.
The last thing he wants to see is the team continue to advance and possibly win in the Super Bowl.
The team had an easy contest against an under .500 team in the Tampa Bay Bucs. They won’t be as lucky next week against the 49ers (13–4). San Francisco is the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year.
