The Cowboys won their first playoff game on the road in 30 years, but couldn’t get back to the NFC Championship Game when they played the 49ers.
The Cowboys had their chances to make plays throughout the game and one of them came when Trevon Diggs dropped a costly pass. Diggs could’ve changed the whole game with an interception he dropped at the end of the third quarter. A tipped pass by Anthony Barr landed right in Diggs’ stomach, but he couldn’t haul it in.
After they drop, the 49ers would eventually score on a Christian McCaffrey rushing touchdown.
Cowboys coach Al Harris came over to him on the bench and made him do pushups as a result.
The Dallas Cowboys’ season came to a close on Sunday night with a 19-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round. The loss made this their 12th consecutive playoff berth without making it to the conference title game.
They’ve now gone 27 years since making it to the NFC championship, a streak that is only exceeded by the Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions and division rival Washington Commanders.
