The bad news for the Dallas Cowboys’ defense: Tuesday was only a practice.
Cowboys fans can look at it in one of two ways. They can focus on the negative in that quarterback Dak Prescott had a rough go in the club’s latest practice session, or they can be optimistic after an excellent outing by All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs.
As seen in the videos by WFAA’s Mike Leslie, Diggs got the better of Prescott by picking him off not once, but twice, during Tuesday’s practice:
Those weren’t Prescott’s only mistakes on the day. Leslie also shared a video of veteran linebacker Leighton Vander Esch making a good read on this throw by Prescott for another interception:

Prescott and Diggs made headlines last week when they got into it during a practice, with the latter telling the star quarterback to “Shut yo (two expletives) up!”
Two weeks ago, Dallas signed Diggs to a massive five-year extension worth $97 million. The 2020 second-round pick has emerged as one of football’s elite ball hawks, recording 17 interceptions (he had a league-leading 11 back in 2021) and 49 pass defenses.
Despite missing five games last season, Prescott led the NFL in interceptions thrown with 15. Nonetheless, the Cowboys won 12 games for the second straight year and reached the Divisional Round, where they fell to the rival San Francisco 49ers.
