It was a very rough day for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
After he took a knee in the head as he was being sacked in the fourth quarter of the game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had to be helped to the sidelines. He was removed from the game in favor of backup Chad Henne.
Because he’s Patrick Mahomes and got hurt, the injury was shown several times around the country. That was something that Travis Kelce’s girlfriend did not like.
Kayla Nicole took to Twitter and stated that showing injuries or gruesome hits should be illegal.
“Showing slow motion replays of gruesome hits or injuries should be illegal, Kayla Nicole said.”
“One of the most barbaric elements of this sport. smh.”

Patrick Mahomes’ fiancée agreed with that sentiment.
Mahomes was grabbed around his feet, and when he was falling to the ground took a hit to his head, bending his upper body backwards. The CBS broadcast announced several minutes later that Mahomes had cleared concussion protocol. After the game, head coach Andy Reid confirmed that Mahomes had cleared concussion protocol and that it was his decision to keep Mahomes out for the remainder of the game.
Mahomes finished the game with 20 completions on 35 attempts for 206 yards. He did not throw a touchdown pass on this day as the Chiefs finished with 3 points.
