A few years ago, Cam Newton had the ladies upset after he dissed a female reporter who asked him about passing routes at a press conference. “It’s funny to hear a female talk about routes,” the quarterback said.
On Monday, Newton got social media in an uproar when he said on a podcast he wants women to cook and be quiet.
“Now a woman for me is, handling your own but knowing how to cater to a man’s needs. Right?,” Newton said. “And I think a lot of times when you get that aesthetic of ‘I’m a boss b—, Imma this, Imma that.’ No baby! But you can’t cook. You don’t know when to be quiet! You don’t know how to allow a man to lead.”
One of the many women to fire back at him was Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.
“A lot of y’all wanna be with your Mama. And it shows.”

“The obsession with women being able to cook is truly comical. Cause it’s like if your palate is so superior date a Michelin star chef then bozo.
Pretty sure the average woman is capable of making edible food. How do you think she’s survived thus far?”
“It’s really not a matter of can she cook – it’s more like does she want to cook for your hungry hippo ass.”
It’s apparent Newton learned nothing from the backlash he received in 2017, but this time around, he does so while hoping to land on an NFL roster.
The first incident resulted in Dannon terminating its relationship with Newton, who was just two years removed from winning the MVP at that point.
