Travis Kelce is finally revealing how he and Taylor Swift were finally set up as an item.
Swift has been a frequent topic of conversation on the Kansas City Chiefs star’s weekly podcast with his brother Jason. It all started when the 34-year-old NFL player revealed that he attempted to give the 33-year-old pop star his number via friendship bracelet during a stop on the Eras Tour. It did not work out in his favor.
However, things got much better for him. The Chiefs’ star says that he had a little help meeting Swift, according to J.R. Moehringer of the Wall Street Journal.
“There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing Cupid,” Kelce told the WSJ.
He later experienced the “shock of a lifetime” when Swift reached out to him.
Kelce added: “She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out.”

He also revealed members of Swift’s family may have pointed the singer in his direction, saying: “She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but… when she came to Arrowhead [Kansas City Chiefs’ stadium], they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures… in front of my locker.”
“Everybody around me telling me: Don’t f— this up! And me sitting here saying: Yeah—got it.”
Kelce said by the time they met for their first date in New York, they were already talking so he knew they could have a “nice dinner” and felt “what goes from there will go from there”.
In the last few months, Swift has been seen in several suites supporting the Chiefs.
In total this season, Swift has attended eight Chiefs games, and the team’s record with Swift in attendance is 5-3.
