Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce was back on the field Sunday and Patrick Mahomes wasted little time using him to score a touchdown in the team’s win against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
During that game, CBS announcer Ian Eagle used that score by Kelce to make a reference to the tight end’s rumored relationship with Taylor Swift. It’s been reported the two have been “quietly hanging out” for weeks now. So, Eagle took the opportunity to allude to the rumors as Kelce celebrated his touchdown.
“Kelce finds a blank space for the score,” Eagle said.
“Blank Space” also happens to be a huge hit by Swift.
Travis Kelce has now finally decided to speak out about the rumors. He was asked about his rumored relationship with the singer during an appearance on NFL+ with host Andrew Siciliano after reports that he once tried to give her his number at one of her concerts.
“The only thing anyone really wants to talk about is Taylor Swift,” Siciliano said in the interview, a clip from which has since been reshared on TikTok. “Did you really have your phone number ready on a friendship bracelet to give to Taylor?”

The 33-year-old seemingly confirmed that the reports about trying to give his number to Taylor were true. “I said what I said. And I meant what I said when I said it. And you know what, it is what it is,” he said, before playing it coy about their relationship status. “I’m not gonna talk about my personal life,” he added.
“I know what you writers wanna hear, and you wanna hear more about that and I’m not gonna give you anything,” he joked.
It did not stop Siciliano from trying again as he asked, “Has she reached out?” he asked, to which Travis remained tight-lipped. “And that’s gonna wrap it up here,” he said, ending the interview.
Following Thursday night’s NFL game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings last week, Jason Kelce was asked during an interview about speculation his brother is romantically involved with the pop star.
“I’ve seen these rumors, I cannot comment,” Jason Kelce said.
It looks like both Kelce and Swift are going to continue to keep things quiet which means more rumors will fly.
As Kelce continues to get more healthy, he and Mahomes are expected to continue their dominance in the NFL as one of the best duos in the game.
The Chiefs will look to push their record above .500 when they take on the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium next week.
