Live from New York will soon be Travis Kelce, but he won’t be playing against the Jets and Giants, he will be delivering laughs to a live studio audience.
Kelce, the superstar tight end for the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, will host Saturday Night Live on March 4th. He was a guest on Thursday’s edition of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which is where he announced the news.
“Growing up, I was a huge, like (Chris) Farley, (Will) Ferrell, Fallon kind of guy growing up. Yeah, I used to watch Saturday Night Live with my mother. And it’s an absolute honor and it’s an absolute honor and a privilege to be hosting SNL on March 4.”
Kelce also admitted, “I am so nervous for that.”
He will be the first athlete to host the show since J.J. Watt in February 2020.
Kelce just won his second Super Bowl after his team took down the Philadelphia Eagles that had his brother on the team. The Kelce brothers facing each other was a major storyline going into the game. Jason is the center for the Philadelphia Eagles – the two played together at the University of Cincinnati.
