Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar tight end Travis Kelce couldn’t help but poke fun at his teammate ahead of “The Match.”
On Thursday, Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes teamed up against Golden State Warriors’ All-Stars Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry for the latest edition of “The Match”, a popular 2-on-2 golf competition that features athletes.
The four competitors spoke at a press conference before the showdown at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. During the conference, Kelce performed a hilarious impression of Mahomes’ so-called “frog voice.”

If there’s one teammate of Mahomes’ who can get away with that, it’s the man who has helped No. 15 guide the Chiefs to a pair of Super Bowl championships.
The first edition of “The Match” featured Tiger Woods vs. Phil Mickelson at the Shadow Greek Golf Course in North Las Vegas on Nov. 23, 2018. Mickelson went on to win the match, and the massive ratings and critical acclaim made it an annual event.

Since 2020, “The Match” has been put on twice a year. Curry first participated at the Nov. 27, 2020 “Champions For Change” match, which he and Pro Football Hall of Famer lost to Mickelson and NBA legend Charles Barkley.
Last year, Mahomes and Buffalo Bills’ star quarterback Josh Allen teamed up against fellow NFL QBs Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. The latter two won the June 1, 2022 showdown that was also held at Wynn Golf Club.
