After the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship game, Travis Kelce cut a promo that had everybody thinking about professional wrestling.
WWE has used celebrities and athletes in various roles over the years, whether that be as hosts, ring announcers, managers, timekeepers, and even wrestlers.
In the NFL, players like Lawrence Taylor, Rob Gronkowski, Pat McAfee, and most recently George Kittle have all had their moments in the entertainment company.
The next NFL player to make the crossover could be Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce.
The tight end expressed interest in doing something in the world of WWE while speaking with TMZ Sports over the weekend.
“We got to. We got to eventually figure it out. My guy George Kittle was at WrestleMania throwing clotheslines left and right, man. It was awesome to see him go nuts. I got to get involved somehow, someway. Me and The Miz have been talking a little bit about it. Hopefully, we can brew something into fruition here.”

The Miz might be a hated Superstar in WWE, but he has a lot of connections.
We’ll have to see who jumps over to WWE from another sport next. It takes a lot to make that transition, and only a few people have really been able to make a successful go at it.
For now, Kelce will be focused on trying to help the Chiefs go back-to-back in the Super Bowl.
During the regular season, Kelce posted 1,338 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 78.7 yards per game. His 110 receptions were also a team high by over 30 catches.
The 33-year-old is entering his 11th NFL season, all of which he’s spent in Kansas City.
