Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has reportedly filed for several new trademarks as his popularity continues to soar outside of football.
The tight is probably the most famous athlete on the planet right now after hooking up with pop icon Taylor Swift and is apparently looking to capitalize on his newfound acclaim as he’s reported to have filed for five new trademarks.
The two-time Super Bowl winner is looking to lock down his own name, as well as Killatrav, Alright Nah, Flight 87, and Kelce’s Krunch, according to trademark lawyer Josh Gerben, who reports that the filings suggest the player will look to market “pins, posters, bobbleheads, clothing and a cereal.”
Travis was already one of the most popular NFL players in the country, and his new relationship with Swift has seen him attract even more attention outside football. The podcast he runs with his brother Jason, ‘New Heights’, has quickly become a favorite among Swifties.
The NFL has also benefited from the publicity as Swift has attended multiple Chiefs games and is now being associated with good luck as they lost to the Broncos on Sunday while she was not in attendance.
