Travis Kelce is playing with the emotions of Kansas City Chiefs fans..
Last Thursday, Kelce was reportedly pleading with head coach Andy Reid, as well as the Chiefs’ medical staff, to let him play. They chose to stay the safer route to ensure nothing else would happen to him.
On Friday, it was announced that he would be returning to the field for their next matchup but not without making fans go crazy.
During practice on Friday, Kelce seemed to hurt himself while running as he grabbed his knee. Everyone in person who saw Kelce grab his knee likely instantly felt their stomachs drop, but the superstar tight end quickly started dancing to show he was just joking around.
The Chiefs’ offense looked out of sorts without its star tight end.
This is a massive benefit for the Chiefs, as Kelce will be making his season debut when they take the field against Jacksonville. Kelce was originally supposed to play in the opener against the Detroit Lions, but a hyperextended knee led to a bone bruise that he simply couldn’t recover from in time for the game.

As the Chiefs look to notch their first win of the 2023 campaign, they face a very formidable opponent on the road. The Jaguars competed hard against Kansas City in both of their meetings last season, and they are looking to be just as tough this week.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence is one of the best in the NFL and is accompanied by a very solid cast of receivers and a feisty defense.
We’ll have to wait and see what the snap count will be for Kelce.
