Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has admitted to being disappointed after his plan to slip Taylor Swift his number blew up in his face.
The Super Bowl-winning tight end outlined his attempt to shoot his shot at the singer on the most recent episode of the ‘New Heights’poscast he does with his brother Jason after being asked how his recent Swift concert went.
Kelce had it all planned out, revealing he put his phone number on a friendship bracelet he was hoping to hand to Taylor but was “butthurt” after finding out she doesn’t meet with anyone before or after she performs in order to preserve her voice.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he explained.
“She doesn’t meet anybody – or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.”
Jason, a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, joked that Swift might still be in her feelings about the Super Bowl as she’s a big Eagles fan.
Despite the disappointment, Travis still had a great time at the concert.

“I’ve only seen Arrowhead filled like that for Chiefs games with that much excitement, and everybody was dressed in pink and purple going crazy for her,” he said, likely as a retort. “It was wild. It was a wild show.”
