Such was the case when Travis Kelce turned out in Cleveland Guardians gear to throw the first pitch before their clash with the Seattle Mariners on Friday.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is one of Cleveland’s famous sons and, following the second Super Bowl win of his career, had the honors of throwing the ceremonial first pitch in the home opener this Friday.
With his mom Donna standing right next to him, Kelce took to the mound as Cleveland fans cheered him on.
Mama Kelce has been all over sports news this year after supporting both her sons in this year’s Super Bowl, with Jason Kelce suiting up for the Philadelphia Eagles. Unfortunately for her, only one of them could win on the night. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the one who won has just embarrassed the family with this terrible pitch…
The NFL star could only manage to spike the ball into the grass before it bounced over to the backstop. It may have just been the worst pitch in baseball history and, as you could see, even his teammate Patrick Mahomes called him out.

Kelce has since responded to the quarterback, placing the blame on the in-house snacks.
What makes this even more embarrassing is the fact that Kelce has played a lot of baseball, having taken part in Jarvis Landry’s softball game on several occasions. You’d think he could at least make a decent pitch.
