Travis Kelce recently expressed his frustration with the media’s treatment of Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.
Tomlin holds the record for most consecutive non-losing seasons to begin a coaching career with 17 and has never had a losing season. The Pittsburgh Steelers moved to 9-7 with a win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, assuring that Mike Tomlin’s streak will continue. That is truly amazing.
Everything wasn’t always good this year as the Steelers had lost three games in a row to the Cardinals, Patriots, and Colts that put this season in doubt. Many in the media called for Mike Tomlin to be fired.
On this week’s episode of the New Heights Podcast, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce destroyed the media.
“They were talking about firing [Mike Tomlin] seven weeks ago,” Jason said.
“The media are so dumb,” Travis said. “Why do we even do media? They’re just a bunch of jackasses.”
His frustration was evident as he defended Tomlin, emphasizing, “One of the best coaches the NFL has ever seen, about to possibly get his 17th consecutive non-losing season. Jesus Christ.”

Tomlin has been at the helm of the Steelers since 2007. Under his leadership, the team has consistently maintained a win percentage better than .500, with a notable Super Bowl victory in 2009.
Tomlin has guided the Steelers to a 9-7 record heading into the final game.
With a win and a loss from the Buffalo Bills or Jacksonville Jaguars, the Steelers will be in the playoffs, which would be their 11th playoff appearance in Tomlin’s tenure.
