Travis Kelce’s life has changed drastically over the last several weeks. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is now dating Taylor Swift and has gotten himself a luxurious, new mansion to accommodate his relationship with the pop icon.
Kelce is reported to have spent a cool $6 million on his new crib, with an insider telling the New York Post he decided to upgrade his living conditions as his new relationship left him feeling a little self-conscious.
“His former humble abode just wasn’t cutting it when it came to impress his new love interest, Swift,” the Post’s report reads. “Insiders revealed that Kelce was feeling a tad “self-conscious” about his relatively modest pad and decided it was time to take things up a notch.”
The TE’s salary has gone from $2.9 million last year to $11.2 million this year, while he’s also raking in millions from endorsements with companies such as Kike, State Farm, Bud Light, and, of course, Pfizer.
While Kelce is said to have loved his old place, the constant fan presence was beginning to bug him. Since his relationship with Taylor became public, it’s been a hotspot for paparazzi. His moving to a gated area will curb the annoyance and leave him in better shape as it pertains to matching that celebrity lifestyle.
