Throughout his NFL career, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had a knack for choking during the big moment of the game, especially in the playoffs.
Fortunate for him, that did not translate to the golf course, as he came up clutch to win a three man playoff at the American Century Championship.
Romo edged out former Major League Pitcher Mark Mulder and current NHL Forward Joe Pavelski on the second hole of the playoff to bring home the trophy. It is the third time he was won this tournament, previously winning in 2018 and 2019.
Although Romo never won the Super Bowl, he did have a very successful NFL career, especially considering that he went undrafted. He has followed that up with an equally prosperous broadcasting career as he is the lead color analyst for the CBS broadcast of NFL games.
Romo was awarded with a cheque for $125,000 for the first place finish.
