CBS commentator Tony Romo came up with the perfect nickname for Buffalo Bills superstar quarterback Josh Allen.
In the first quarter of Sunday’s Super Wild Card Weekend playoff game vs. the Miami Dolphins, Allen threw a beautiful six-yard touchdown pass to tight end Dawson Knox for the first score of the game.
During the touchdown replay, Romo referred to Allen as “Mr. January”, adding that he plays “perfect football” at this time of the year. Buffalo jumped up to a 17-0 lead, but Miami rallied for 17 unanswered points before a Tyler Bass field goal put the Bills back on top before halftime.
You can see the clip of Romo’s “Mr. January” nickname below (it starts at the 0:48 mark).
The Bills have qualified for the postseason in each of the last four years, and they cruised to a third straight AFC East division title this year. If they beat Miami, Buffalo will advance to the Divisional Round for the third consecutive year.
