Tony Romo has been on the receiving end of lots of criticism for his handling of the play that won Super Bowl 58.
The defensive showdown between the Chiefs and 49ers went down to the wire and needed an overtime period before it was over, with Patrick Mahomes completing a touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman to seal the deal.
Romo was on point after the Chiefs got inside the five-yard line as he explained that the clock running down wouldn’t matter as it would just roll into the second quarter of overtime, but perhaps he kept going for too long as it prevented his partner Jim Nantz from setting the stage for the final play the way he probably would have liked.
“First and goal, Mahomes flings it! It’s there! Hardman! Jackpot! Kansas City!” Nantz went.
Romo then cut in with “This was the Andy Reid special. …” and proceeded to talk for 30 seconds. Many thought he should have kept quiet and let the game tell its own story or just left it to Nantz.

Some fans were fine with what Romo had to say and felt like he was being criticized unfairly, however.
Do you think he deserves it or was the whole thing overblown?
