Tommy DeVito has reportedly filed for a pair of interesting trademarks.
The New York Giants quarterback is getting it in while he can as he appears to be keen on cashing in on his newfound popularity.
DeVito is pretty big around NY now, having stepped in to save the Giants’ season from abject failure as he fired them to a three-game winning streak. He’s been playing impressively enough, having passed for 1,032 yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions while completing 64 percent of his passes since taking over in the wake of the season-ending injury to Daniel Jones. He’s also made 35 scrambles for an additional 190 yards and a score.
The stats above are better than any of the Jets QBs can boast, though they have way better skill players.
Adding to DeVito’s popularity is the fact that he’s from the city and his high school was 30 minutes away from the MetLife Stadium. So, yeah, he’s striking while the iron is hot.
According to the player’s newly signed marketing agent Maxx Lepselter, per trademark lawyer Josh Gerben, DeVito has filed for trademarks “Tommy Cutlets” and “Passing Paisano” as he intends to sell decals, pasta, pizza, tomato sauces, and energy drinks.

The QB could have done his brand some serious damage after the price of an appearance at a local pizzeria was doubled, much to the disgust of fans, but he effectively pulled himself from the controversy and made the appearance for free, while also hiring a marketing agent and taking such duties away from his main agent, Sean Stellato.
As for the football side of things, DeVito could earn himself a spot on the Giants’ roster for next season and even compete for the starting job if he keeps this up.
