If New England Patriots fan thought there might be a shot of Tom Brady coming back to the team in his mid-40’s for a reunion, those hopes were likely destroyed with his recent comments.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is really enjoying his new home in Florida, but most of all, he is enjoying the weather.
His recent statement was also indicative that he is already ruling out a return to his former team, via Yahoo Sports.
“But I’ve loved just being outside every day. I was a native Californian for a long time in my life and I went away from it for about 25 years. You won’t catch me dead living in the Northeast anymore. I’m loving the warm weather and it’s been a great feeling.”
After winning six Super Bowl titles with the franchise, Brady left the team this past offseason to sign a 2-year deal with the Bucs.
The 14-time Pro Bowler has the team at 8-5 that puts them in contention for a spot in the upcoming playoffs.
With a 6-7 record, his former team won’t win 10 games for the first time since 2002.
