Back in February, Tom Brady pulled out his ultimate flex when he showed up to the Tampa Bay Bucs boat parade with own custom Wajer Yachts 55S vessel. Named Viva a Vida to honor wife Gisele Bundchen’s environmental efforts, Brady reportedly purchased the $2 million, 53-foot launch in December from the Dutch maker.
The future hall of fame QB is now adding to his collection when he confirmed he will be one of the first to take delivery of the new 77-foot offshore vessel, according to Forbes.
“I enjoyed the waters of New England, but when we moved to Tampa, with its beautiful bay, I said to myself, ‘I need a boat,’” Brady told attendees. “I love what (Wajer Managing Director) Dries Wajer is doing. When we first started working together, I was able to try-out a Wajer 38, then I got my Wajer 55S, and now I’m looking forward to continuing my ‘captainship’ on a Wajer 77…which Dries tells me I’ll get before the end of the year.”
Some deatils on the new vessel:
“Significantly longer and beamier than the previous Wajer 55 flagship, while the new 77 also rises higher from the water line, her lines are low, swept back and elegantly aggressive. Some Q Branch-worthy technology includes an auto-calibrating anchor drop that calculates the length of chain needed, a hybrid fender system that can quickly inflate/deflate bumpers for easier stowage, a water-cooled under-deck temperature system so your bare feet don’t get too toasty, and an automatic wheelhouse roof that can expand, contract, and front-elevate to allow more air flow into the cockpit.
Accommodations include a 16-foot, 5-inch wide Master Suite mid-ship, a bow Junior Suite with a double bed, and a port-side guest cabin with a queen-size and single bed. All suites have their own lavs and showers. A crew cabin sleeps two. Expect a fully-equipped galley and a below-deck work area, and expect it all to arrive with a modern, light- and dark-wood blend on a minimalist gleaming white interior design approach any luxury boutique hotel would envy (and 7 feet to 7 feet, 9 inches of headroom other boaters will envy).”
Brady said he plans to call his new Wajer 77 yacht “Viva a Vida,” the same name as his current Wajer 55S.

“I have kids, and we all love being on the water. We spent Christmas and New Year’s Eve aboard our Wajer; everyone loves it,” Brady continued. “The 55S is an amazing boat, and it’s been amazing for our family. I think the 77 will be a little bit more suited to what we need it for down here, which is a few more day trips and weekend trips. We spend a lot of time in the Bahamas. I want to give my family some great weekend trip memories.”
