Back in February, Tom Brady hung up his cleats for the second time as he announced his retirement from the NFL. It came a year after he initially announced his retirement before later reversing course and returning to play one more year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady said he would end his NFL career after 23 years in the league.
Given how things played out last year, there was justifiable skepticism that Brady is done playing. His team barely made it into the playoffs with an under .500 record and he lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card, which was his first loss to the franchise ever.
During a recent party in Tampa, Brady made it clear that he has a love for football, but also stated that his children want him around and he wants to be there to “watch their games.”
“There is nothing I love more than football, but I have young children and they watched enough of their dad’s games and it’s time for me to watch their games,” Brady said, via Rick Stroud.
Brady gets to spend more time with his kids, but not his spouse after he and Gisele divorced each other in October. She has seemingly moved on to start dating someone else.

To spend more time with his kids, he even put off starting his broadcasting career until the 2024 season.
Nothing he will ever say will truly stop the rumors of him coming back. The actual season will need to begin and end for fans and reporters to believe that he is truly done with the game of football.
