Tom Brady has revealed what he’s looking forward to the most as it pertains to retirement.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has decided to call it quits, as he took to his Twitter account to announce the surprise decision early Wednesday morning.
Brady has a lucrative deal waiting for him at FOX whenever he decides to begin his broadcasting career, so his long-term future is already set. Now we just have to sit back and wait for the GOAT to start his new job.
ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith had a conversation with the 45-year-old on the Let’s Go! podcast this week and told the quarterback that he’s going to be celebrated no matter what he decides to do, adding that Brady will have a huge impact on sports broadcasting when he takes up that role for FOX (H/T Newsweek).
Smith envisions Brady entering the world of sports analysis as one of the greatest savants who will have plenty to teach whenever he gets in the booth.
“Get ready for it, look forward to it,” the First Take host said, “because it’s going to happen.”

Brady, though, claimed to be more interested in learning, which is what he’s most looking forward to.
“There’s so much to learn, there’s so much to teach, you know, it’s ever-evolving. Believe me, as much as you think I’m willing to teach people, I’m really looking to learn,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion insisted.
“I’m really looking to learn from all the people that I get to talk to,” Brady said. “I get an opportunity to be in a job in the future where I get to travel around and learn from all the other people that I’ve looked up to and admired and different organizations and different people.”
Of course, Brady had been keeping his future plans close to the vest at the time, with many anticipating that he would return for a 24th NFL season with the San Francisco 49ers or the Las Vegas Raiders. But he also didn’t rule out the possibility of entering the booth as soon as 2023, claiming he’s looking forward to that moment when it arrives.
“I feel like the opportunity to do that is something that I’m really looking forward to whenever that time comes,” he added.
