It’s Deja Vu all over again!
At around this time last year, we were treated to the first Tom Brady retirement announcement.
Of course, as we all know by now, that one didn’t stick. Just 40 days after saying he was hanging up his cleats, he decided to announce that he was going to be returning to the NFL and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a 23rd season…
And apparently, if we are to believe Brady’s latest announcement, that 23rd season will also be his last, as the GOAT is set to retire once again.
While the football world reacted to the news in shock, the rest of social media didn’t seem to be convinced by Brady’s latest announcement. And can you blame them?
We all fell for this charade last offseason, but it seems as tough many on Twitter are adopting the “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me” perspective to Brady’s second retirement.
