Bill Belichick is one of the oldest coaches in the NFL, and truly believes his former QB can play till he is 50.
Tom Brady and the Bucs are off to a blistering start in the 2021 season and it has once again brought up the conversation that the veteran QB could possibly play for a few more years despite his age. He recently admitted that he wants to play till he is 50 on the latest episode of Tommy and Gronky.
“Can Tom Brady play until he’s 50?”, Gronk read from his cue-card. “Wow, seems to be a really hot question lately. […] I don’t find it so difficult. Plus Florida is kind of a retiree state, so I can just play and glide into retirement,” Brady responded.
“I think I can. I think it’s a yes.”
The New England Patriots coach was asked during a radio interview on WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show whether it’s realistic for Brady to play until he’s 50.
“I’m sure Tom would know better than anybody, so if anybody can do it, it’s him,” Belichick said.

In response, Brady said, “I’ve always appreciated the encouraging words of Coach Belichick, and it’s served me pretty well.”
The New England Patriots will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in one week, marking the return of Tom Brady to Gillette Stadium for the first time since he threw a Pick Six to Logan Ryan in a wild-card playoff game against the Tennessee Titans in 2019.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday, falling to the Los Angeles Rams, 34-24. Brady threw for 432 yards and one touchdown.
