Many felt as though Tom Brady’s retirement wouldn’t last long. Word was circulating that he felt rushed and still wasn’t sure he wanted to stop playing.
Then the footage surfaced of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback making a rather peculiar face when questioned whether he was in fact finished earlier today, prior to a Manchester United match.
These were all warning signs. And, as it turns out, where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
Moments ago, it was announced that Tom Brady would be returning for a 23rd season in the NFL.
For those who don’t believe the report from Field Yates, hopefully this statement from the GOAT himself will convince them that the comeback is real. Tom Brady took to Twitter to release a statement regarding his return, during which he claimed that he’s realized his place is on the field, and not in the stands, over the past two months.

What’s especially interesting is the fact that Brady says he’ll be returning for his 23rd season “in Tampa,” as speculation had previously arisen suggesting he might make a return with the San Francisco 49ers.
There’s still a chance that someone makes a trade from Brady, as reports did suggest that there was some major tension between him and Bucs head coach Bruce Arians towards the end of the season.
One thing’s for sure, though. The GOAT is BACK!!!
