With the Buccaneers driving late in the first half, Tom Brady had his team in position to catch the Atlanta Falcons defense sleeping as they tried to make substitutions.
The rule goes that the offense is able to snap the ball when it’s under two minutes, even if the defense hasn’t made their substitutions.
Umpire Barry Anderson clearly did not know that, as he held up the snap. Tom Brady was pissed and let him hear about it.
The Bucs QB got in his face and dropped an f-bomb.
The Bucs ended up settling for a field goal.
You can bet Brady would have preferred a touchdown there, but it’s looking like it won’t make a difference at this pace, as the Buccaneers continue to pile on the points while the Falcons have been unable to score a single point midway through the third quarter.
