Tom Brady finally got back to the Tampa Bay Bucs this week after an 11-day absence. His absence was excused and planned, but unannounced until it happened so it allowed for social media to come up with numerous theories.
Brady showed up Saturday for the preseason debut in the exhibition final and finally got a chance to address why he was gone for so long.
“Everyone has different situations they’re dealing with and we all have unique challenges to our lives.”
He added: “I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of shit going on, so you just have to try and figure out life the best you can. You know, it’s a continuous process.”
The future Hall of Fame quarterback was reportedly on vacation to the Bahamas with his wife, Gisele, during his absence. Of course, Brady has neither confirmed nor denied where he actually was.
He also addressed the mega rumors that he was trying to join the Raiders and the Dolphins at one point.

“I read all these stories about all these different places I was supposed to go or could have gone and I’m like, ‘I only was going to go to one place’ – which was here. I think this whole organization knows that, and all the conversations that we’ve had over a period of time, I chose the right place for me.” – Tom Brady
Brady finished his preseason debut going 6 of 8 for 44 yards in his lone series.
Now, the GOAT turns his attention to a Week 1 road trip against the Dallas Cowboys to kick off the regular season.
