Tom Brady has sent a message to the U.S. Women’s National Team ahead of their attempt to successfully defend their World Cup trophy.
The former NFL quarterback is one of the most successful athletes in sports, having won seven Super Bowls during a remarkable career across stints with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With America’s female soccer team attempting to make some history of its own, the GOAT has shared a few words of encouragement. The USWNT won the last two World Cups and they are one tournament away from becoming the first-ever team to win three straight.
Brady has shown the ladies some support as they prepare for the competition, while somewhat jealously pointing out that he never won three consecutive championships.
“Team USA is gearing up to do something I was never able to pull off, a three-peat,” he said in a video posted by Fox Soccer. “I just wanted to give a shoutout to our squad as they go for a third straight World Cup. We’re all back here watching, cheering for you guys at home.”

Meanwhile, the 45-year-old has a new lady in his life as it’s more or less confirmed that he’s begun a relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk on the back of his divorce from Gisele Bundchen.
The former QB was pictured getting cozy with Shayk by the paparazzi over the weekend, having picked her up from a hotel at least twice.
