Cheering time was over as soon as the game began.
Patriots fans had showered Tom Brady with cheers and chants prior to the Sunday night game when he took the field as a member of the Tampa Bay Bucs. But when it was his time take the field for his first play, the fan base switched it up and booed him.

Those boos may have gotten inside Brady’s head, as he missed a few open passes on the Buccaneers opening drive and they were forced to punt after a few first downs.
Brady is making his first appearance in New England since he left to join Tampa in 2020 free agency. After winning six Super Bowls as a Pat, he was able to add a seventh in his first year as a Buccaneer.
Patriots fans will be hoping their team can hand the seven-time champ and his Bucs a second straight loss at Gillette Stadium tonight.
