Shortly after Tom Brady made it official when signing his contract to be the next QB of the Tampa Bay Bucs, he wasted no time in filing for a new trademark for the following slogan: TB X TB.
Josh Gerben, who works for a trademark law firm, would soon reveal that Brady was far from done. On Friday, it was reported that the 42-year-old hopes to trademark Tompa Bay and Tampa Brady for use in merchandise, including clothing, headwear and footwear. He actually filed those trademarks on April 6th.
He’s not only good at trademarking himself, but he can also give out advice to other athletes as well.
ESPN’s SportsCenter sent out a tweet announcing the two new trademark requests and that prompted Brady to send a message to Drew Brees.
I never understood why Drew wasn’t making Drew Orleans shirts, Brady said on Twitter.
Drew Brees was also in the news on Friday after Andrew Marchand of the New York Post broke the news that he was turning down ESPN’s offer to be on their Monday Night Football broadcast, and instead would be taking his talents to NBC Sports.
