Over the past few months, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen have tried to keep their union together, but things have fallen apart as the couple have been living in different houses and recently hired divorce lawyers.
Sue Moss, a divorce attorney, recently spoke to People and gave her take on the matter when it comes to Tom Brady.
Via People.com:
“The big challenge for him is everything will be determined at the height of his income,” Moss said, “because to get him to come back, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had to come up with a lot of cash — and that is the baseline for determining the support in this case.”
She added that Bündchen once earned more than Brady, but his income has since surpassed hers.
“And because of the timing, the case will be determined based upon the height of earnings.”
The high-profile couple currently owns at least four Properties.
- House at the Yellowstone Resort in Montana
- $3.5 million apartment in New York City
- Home in Costa Rica
- $17 million mansion in Miami’s Indian Creek Island
Divorce attorney Jacqueline Newman of Berkman Bottger Newman & Schein LLP speculated that custody of their children could be more of a problem if they pull the trigger on their divorce.

“It really does seem that [Bündchen] has dedicated her life to these children,” Newman said. “I’m sure he is dedicated to the children, but he travels a lot. He’s not involved as much in the day to day. She may want more stability for them.” Newman continued, “The worst thing they could do is pull their kids through a custody battle.”
It should be noted that Brady and Bündchen, who’ve been married since 2009, may have a prenuptial agreement in place, lessening the financial mess that is to come.
