Tom Brady is probably still bitter about losing to Eli Manning in two Super Bowls. After all, Eli is the only quarterback to do so ever.
While both men are now retired, with Brady hanging it up after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were eliminated from the playoffs, it appears The GOAT still holds a grudge.
Speaking in a recent promo for the upcoming 2023 NFL season, the former Patriots and Bucs QB refuted the idea of there being a “script.”
His objection makes plenty of sense too. As TB puts it, why would he ever agree to lose to Manning twice?
“Do I think the NFL is scripted? You think I really would have played along with a script that had me losing to Peyton’s little brother Eli twice in the Super Bowl?” he asked. “No.”
Fair, but fans took issue with him referring to Eli as “Peyton’s little brother,” though it was all in good fun.
“Calling him Peyton little brother is mad disrespectful,” one user wrote in the comments. You can check out some of the other reactions right below:

Winning two Super Bowls is no small feat; winning two Super Bowls by beating Tom Brady? That’s the stuff of legend right there.
