With Tom Brady’s football career possibly at its end, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback sat down at talked about what the future may hold on his podcast, “Let’s Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.”
During the show, Brady was asked about his plans now that the Bucs were eliminated from the playoffs. More specifically, he was asked about his future and when he’ll begin to decide whether he’ll continue playing or hang up the cleats.
Brady talked about taking time to “decompress” while stating that there’s “no real rush” to make a decision. “I’ll know when I know,” Brady told Jim Gray.
He then went on to talk about his family and how he’ll enjoy some time with them and take them into consideration when making any decision on his playing future. And that’s when he revealed that the thing that pains his wife Gisele the most is seeing him take all those hits:

“My wife is my biggest supporter. It pains her to see me get hit out there. And she deserves what she needs from me as a husband. And my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad. I’m going to spend some time with them and give them what they need, because they’ve really been giving me what I need for the last six months.”
Brady will no doubt take this into consideration when making his final decision on his future. I’m sure Gisele will be doing her best to push him towards retirement, though.

Speaking of retirement, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has stated that an announcement should be coming “relatively soon,” according to Brady’s agent, Don Yee.
