Every year around the NFL, some quarterbacks not only shop for their loved ones, but they go out and gift their offensive lines spectacular gifts. I mean, they are responsible for keeping their health in tact, because one missed block could prove costly and turn the team’s season upside down.
A few days ago, Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson hooked his o-line with Rolexes as they get set to head into the postseason.
At least they got something.
According to The Boston Globe — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was said to have gifted his offensive lineman with a huge of gift of absolutely nothing.
“What did Patriots quarterback Tom Brady get his offensive linemen for Christmas?
Well, they don’t know yet.
“We still have business to take care of,’’ center Ted Karras said Thursday afternoon.
New England’s offensive line, however, will have to wait a bit longer.
“Getting a gift from Tom Brady is kind of surreal,’’ said Karras. “I’m very thankful. I just try to do a great job for him. He’s so generous and such a good leader.”
Maybe something might come late if the Patriots can defeat the Miami Dolphins in Week 17 and secure a first-round bye.
