Do not put your hands on Tom Brady when the ball is already gone from his hands. Usually the officials will come after you for doing that. But if they don’t, you better believe Tommy’s going to stand up for himself.
In the fourth quarter of the Buccaneers’ blowout win over the Eagles in their Wild Card battle, Brady had already thrown a pass when Derek Barnett came in and basically pushed him twice in the back. It happened long after the ball had been throw, so Brady didn’t appreciate it one bit.
Brady immediately turned around, and he and the Eagles defensive end exchanged words as teammates moved in to break it up.
It’s usually not a great idea for quarterbacks to be picking fights with defensive linemen, but Tom Brady doesn’t back down to anyone. And he was probably feeling pretty good about himself at the time as well.
The Bucs quarterback has shredded the Eagles defense today, throwing for a couple of touchdowns as his offense has put up 31 points against a respectable Philly defense.
