If Tom Brady wanted people to take his second retirement seriously, he is not doing a very good job of it.
In this craziest of NFL offseasons, it’s become imprudent to ever say never, which is why a social media post regarding Tom Brady and the Miami Dolphins has garnered so much attention.
The retired quarterback was asked about unretiring and playing for the Dolphins and he did not exactly shut down the idea.
“I do have some friends on the Dolphins I really like.”
One of the most interesting rumors that floated around this offseason was the idea that Tom Brady might end up in Miami, and apparently, that actually came a lot closer to happening than anyone thought.
It was reported earlier this offseason that the Dolphins made a play for Brady and were planning to bring Brady on as a minority owner and it was so close to happening that the announcement was potentially in the works for “the week that preceded the Super Bowl.”

Miami was also supposed to bring in Sean Payton, but before all of this could happen, the team was hit with the Brian Flores lawsuit, which was filed the same day Brady announced his retirement.
Adding Brady to an offense that just added Tyreek Hill last offseason would make the Dolphins instant Super Bowl contenders, so trying to make that deal makes all the sense in the world from the Miami standpoint.
However, it would likely end the Tua era in South Beach, but if you want to win it all, then you have to go for it all.
