Tom Brady is 44-years-old and just finally retired from the NFL. It does not appear he might be gone for too long.
The legendary quarterback left the door open for a potential comeback on the “Let’s Go!” podcast.
“I’m just going to take things as they come. I think that’s the best way to put it. You never say never,” Brady said Monday. “At the same time, I feel very good about my decision. I don’t know how I’ll feel six months from now. It may change, it most likely won’t, but I try to make the best possible decision I can in the moment, which I did this last week.
“I think it’s not looking to reverse course, I’m definitely not looking to do that. But, at the same time, I think you have to be realistic that you never know what challenges there are going to be in life. I love playing, I’m looking forward to doing things other than playing, that’s as honest as I can be.”
The former signal-caller further explained Monday that his decision had little to do with his age or confidence in his abilities.
“It’s certainly not that I can’t play or continue to play, but I think there’s an important choice for me to make,” Brady explained. “Everything certainly comes at a cost, and the cost is what am I missing out on other aspects of my life.
“As you get older, you experience things that are outside of this sport that demand a level of attention and energy that football has always gotten. It’s time for me to commit to those types of things.”
Brady would have to put up a major fight with wife Gisele Bündchen to try and convince her that it would be a good idea to go play professional football again after she has been fighting like crazy for him to leave the game behind.
Imagine a 46-year-old Brady coming back to the NFL….A large majority of teams would still want to sign him.

The future hall of famer walked away from the NFL after throwing for a league-leading 5,316 passing yards and 43 touchdowns in 2021.
Brady captured seven Super Bowls over his career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also also holds the record for most career touchdown passes (624) and passing yards (84,520), among other feats.
