lol Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady shocked the sports world when he announced he was leaving the Patriots to become a free agent back in 2020. Nobody saw it coming. What was even crazier is the lack of interest teams showed him during his free agency period.
In his final playoff game with the Patriots, the veteran quarterback threw a costly pick-six in a 20-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Teams likely thought he was done.
Brady, of course, wound up signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won a Super Bowl. He had a very NSFW message for teams back then as well.
“If you’re another team and you’re not interested in having me as your quarterback, like what the f—k is wrong with you?”
Regarding his 2020 foray into free agency, Brady says this about an unnamed NFL franchise: “One of the teams, they weren’t interested at the very end. I was thinking, you’re sticking with that motherf–ker?”
One of those teams who reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign Brady was the San Francisco 49ers. They chose to move forward with Jimmy Garoppolo, who they are now planning to trade in favor of having Trey Lance take over.
