Tom Brady had a simple yet profound bit of advice for the Las Vegas Raiders quarterbacks ahead of their preseason showdown with the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night.
The Cowboys ended Brady’s career by beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round of last season’s playoffs. Just months later, he was back in Dallas, this time as a minority owner of the Raiders.
Being in such a position has its perks. Brady was able to walk around on the field during pregame affairs and would share embraces with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, as well as quarterback Dak Prescott and cornerback Trevon Diggs.
Still, Brady wanted nothing but pain for Dallas. He hit Jimmy Garoppolo and other Raiders QBs with a message as they were walking out, advising the signal-callers to “ruin their night.”
Now that he’s part of the Raiders’ organization, Brady would love to see the team bring the Super Bowl back after a 40-year drought.
They’re definitely headed in the right direction as they were able to get running back Josh Jacobs to rejoin them, coming to terms on a one-year deal worth $12 million. But what they weren’t able to do was ruin the Cowboys’ night as America’s Team handed Brady yet another loss.
