Over the weekend, social media was concerned over Todd McShay and how he looked and sounded.
On Tuesday, he would announce that he would take time away from ESPN to focus on his health and his family.
“I am going to take some time away to focus on my health and my family,” McShay wrote. “Thank you ESPN for being so supportive and for all the well wishes – I can’t wait to be back on the sidelines soon.”
McShay stepping away comes after he made his exit last year from the Wisconsin-Northwestern broadcast last year due to an illness. He would return to the sidelines for his next assignment the following weekend.
ESPN released a brief statement on social media.

“Feel better,” Kevin Negandhi wrote. “Your health and family are the most important things bro.”
