Joe Burrow is coming off a season where he found himself on the ground way too much.
Unfortunately for him and Bengals fans everywhere, the 2022 season is starting the same way for the 2020 first-overall pick.
The first score of the 2022 NFL campaign came by way of a Joe Burrow pick, which was returned for a touchdown. While trying to stop that from happening, Burrow got destroyed by TJ Watt.
The good news is that Burrow was able to get up and continue playing following that brutal hit. The bad news is things haven’t gotten much better for him, as he’s been sacked three times and lost a fumble.
Burrow and the Bengals have to be hoping this is just the case of a slow start, and not a classic Super Bowl hangover. The team shocked many last year when they went from bottom-feeders to AFC champions in the blink of an eye.
