If Kevin Byard wants to be a part of the Tennessee Titans, then he will have to do something for the franchise.
The Tennessee Titans and safety Kevin Byard are reportedly at an impasse in contract talks after the team requested he takes a pay cut. If he doesn’t plan to take that pay cut, they will release him instead.
The 29-year-old is both a two-time first-team All-Pro and a two-time Pro Bowl selection.
He was excellent last season as he registered 108 tackles, four interceptions, and six passes defensed. It was his second season with 100-plus tackles.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Byard would free up $5,991,000 of available cap space while creating $13,632,000 million in dead money.
Titans fans have to feel uneasy about this offseason as the franchise has already released Taylor Lewan and Bud Dupree.
