Tennessee Titans Running Back Derrick Henry suffered his first major injury of his professional career last season when he was sidelined for the final nine games of the regular season with a fracture in his right foot. According to a workout video of Henry that was recently posted, he is very determined to not let that happen again.
Henry is an absolute beast listed at 6-foot-3 and 247 pounds, and he uses every inch and pound to punish would be tacklers. He had an incredible 2020 season which saw him become just the eighth member of the 2,000 yards rushing club with a total of 2,027, while also being named NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
King Henry was poised to match or even surpass those totals in 2021 before being sidelined with the busted wheel. In just eight games, he nearly cracked 1,000 rush yards going for 937 which was still good enough for 9th in the league, despite missing more than half the season. Crazy.
Let the entire NFL be on notice that Derrick Henry will be back this fall, 100% healthy and determined more than ever to prove he is the best running back in the league. A scary thought indeed for any defensive player.
