After leading his team to a massive upset over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Derrick Henry made it all-too-obvious that his storied tenure with the Tennessee Titans is over.
Henry rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown on just 19 carries, leading Tennessee to a 28-20 victory that spoiled the Jaguars’ postseason hopes. After the game, the two-time rushing champion spoke to the Tennessee faithful on a microphone to thank them for the eight-years together:
Henry led the Titans to five six straight winning seasons (2016 to 2021), four playoff appearances (2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021), two AFC South division titles (2020 and 2021) and a 2019 AFC Championship Game berth.
King Henry won back-to-back rushing titles in 2019 and 2020 and took home Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2020. If this was indeed it for Henry as a Titan, then what an unbelievable run it was.
