The Tennessee Titans did their part in trying to impress DeAndre Hopkins ahead of his visit with the club this weekend.
On Sunday, the free agent wideout flew into the Music City to meet with the Titans. As per Hopkins’ Instagram story, the Titans picked him up and drove the star wideout in a slick Sprinter van which included a photoshopped image of him in a Tennessee jersey:
It certainly doesn’t hurt to go the extra mile to impress and make a star free agent like Hopkins feel welcome. The fact he was happy to visit with them in the first place is obviously a nice start for head coach Mike Vrabel and company.
Hopkins was entering the final season of his contract with the Arizona Cardinals, but they released him on May 26 and took on a whopping dead cap hit of $22.6 million for 2023. Hopkins was the subject of never-ending trade rumors ahead of his release from the Cardinals.
The 31-year-old Hopkins also has a visit lined up with the New England Patriots. It has been known for a while now that Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is a big fan of the five-time Pro Bowl wideout.
Hopkins was limited to nine games last season, but he still finished with an impressive stat line of 64 receptions for 717 yards and three touchdowns. For his career, “Nuk” has 853 receptions for 11,298 yards and 71 touchdowns.
